Since 1975 WBC has brought our expertise to over 41 ecclesiastical projects, including the interior remodeling of existing places of worship and the addition of educational spaces as well as the design and construction of new churches for growing faith communities in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Our work with the convent at St. Scholastica and with Trinity Lutheran Church won Awards of Excellence from the Minnesota Associated Builders and Contractors.

Representative Projects

Abounding Joy Lutheran Church

Abounding Joy is a new 11,250 square foot Lutheran Church located on the border between St. Cloud and Sartell. It features a 290 seat sanctuary with partitioned glass doors that allow for overflow seating in the adjacent narthex area which can seat up to 100. The building also has a full commercial kitchen, two offices, 4 classrooms and a wedding preparation area. The building was designed to accommodate expansion of all areas; sanctuary, narthex and classrooms. Read more

Discovery Church

This 20,000-square-foot, new church features a high tech auditorium space with a $250,000 sound system and incorporates a beautiful gathering area that functions as a flexible facet to the first phase of a master planned project. The multi-purpose areas include classrooms, meeting rooms, library areas, kitchen for serving meals and a coffee bar. Read more

St. Ignatius Catholic Church

St. Ignatius Catholic Church created a new 2,500-square-foot fellowship hall with a kitchen; added six classrooms, a new administration center, a library and a meditation chapel; installed an elevator and air conditioning in the new addition, added fire protection to the entire church, re-shingled the existing church and relocated the main entrance. The new addition utilized Kasota limestone to match the exterior of the existing church. Read more

Rejoice Lutheran Church

Rejoice Lutheran Church converted their former sanctuary into a large fellowship hall and constructed a new 8,800-square-foot worship space with fire protection, a state-of-the-art audio visual system and air conditioning. The former fellowship hall was transformed into a narthex area for socialization. Read more

Calvary Lutheran Church

The Calvary Lutheran Church project consisted of remodeling the existing sanctuary area, fellowship hall, and classrooms. Included in the sanctuary remodeling was the extension of the balcony area and refinishing of the wood, ceilings, pews, carpet, and altar area. Air conditioning was also added to the facility. Chisago Lakes Evangelical Free Church

The Chisago Lakes Evangelical Free Church project included a 3,400-square-foot, two-story addition consisting of a narthex/vestibule expansion, classrooms, offices, stairway, drive-thru entry, and new mechanical rooms. Read more

Holy Cross Lutheran Church

The Holy Cross Lutheran Church addition consisted of 2,300 square feet of new educational space which was designed and constructed to connect to a renovated community gathering space while reflecting the original church exterior. Read more

St. Henry's Catholic Church

The St. Henry's project consisted of the construction of new classrooms and an enlarged sanctuary, resulting in the addition of 9,400 square feet to the church. Renovations were also made to the existing sanctuary, and roof tiles for the new structure were matched to be consistent with those of the existing structure. Read more

St. Lawrence Catholic Church

The St. Lawrence project consisted of a 14,400-square-foot primary structure that included a new sanctuary, kitchen, fellowship hall, bell tower, and miscellaneous rooms. Stained glass from the demolished church was preserved for use in the new church. Read more

St. Louis Catholic Church

The 14,400-square-foot addition to St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville consisted of a new sanctuary, classroom, administrative area, parish hall, and kitchen as well as an extensive redesign and renovation of the existing church interior. Read more

United Methodist Church

The 7,250-square-foot United Methodist Church project consisted of a sanctuary and narthex addition including extensive remodeling of the existing worship facility. Read more

Zion Lutheran Church

The 29,000-square-foot Zion Lutheran Church project consisted of the construction of a 750-seat sanctuary in addition to a new classroom, kitchen, fellowship hall, and administrative office area. Read more
